You can pre-order the Pixel 6A and Pixel Buds Pro from Google here

Updated July 21 at 4:13 p.m. ET: Added trade-in value information for older Google Pixel phones offered by the Google Store at the time of purchase.

Google’s cheaper and palm-friendly version of the Pixel 6, the $449 Pixel 6A is available for pre-order now, as are the new Pixel Buds Pro. If you’re focusing on the phone first, make sure you’re among the first to get the Pixel 6A by pre-ordering on or just before launch day, Thursday 28th July. Google already announced the release date at their I/O conference in May and we’ve been waiting for it very patiently.

The same goes for the $199 Pixel Buds Pro (scroll down to see a $15 discount), Google’s first wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and shipping in multiple bright color options. These will be released the same day, and you can pre-order now.

We have a review of the Pixel 6A by Allison Johnson here, and we’ll have a full review of the Pixel Buds Pro in the coming days. But whatever gadget you’re looking for, we’ve put together some buying links and promotions that you might want to know about.

Where to pre-order the Pixel 6A?

Compared to the 6.4-inch Pixel 6, the Pixel 6A’s 6.1-inch OLED screen is much better suited for those with smaller hands or who simply prefer a smaller phone. It shares a few key features with Google’s more expensive flagship phones, most notably that it shares the same Tensor processor. The general design (linking the Pixel 6 and the upcoming Pixel 7 together) and the experience with Android software are also known.

The camera hardware is one area that takes a hit due to the lower price point, although it should still produce excellent photos compared to other phones in its price range. It has dual rear cameras, one of which is a 12.2-megapixel main camera while the other is a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 114-degree field of view. It has an 8 megapixel selfie cam.

  • The Pixel 6A with 128GB of storage costs $449.99, unlocked on the Google Store, Best Buy, and Amazon. It is available in sage green, chalk white or anthracite black.
  • If you own an older Pixel phone, you might want to consider buying it through the Google Store. Google is offering up to $300 trade-in value for legacy Pixels like the Pixel 3A, Pixel 4, and Pixel 4A. If you preorder on Google, you’ll also get a free pair of Pixel Buds A earbuds (a $99 value).
  • At Verizon: It’s $50 more overall to buy the Pixel 6A from Verizon, but you get support for the carrier’s 5G ultra-broadband support if that affects you. Monthly payments start at $13.88 per month for 36 months.

Verizon is making the Pixel 6A free (in the sense that you get paid back in promotional credits every month for 36 months, which end up totaling $499.99) for people who buy a new phone line for 5G Launch, 5G Thurs , want to activate More, 5G Play or 5G Get More Unlimited plans.

If you simply upgrade from Verizon and get one of their 5G Unlimited plans, you’ll get a $100 discount off the total purchase. (Note that this discount will be refunded to you in monthly blocks over a 36-month period.)

Where to pre-order the Pixel Buds Pro

As mentioned, the Pixel Buds Pro feature active noise cancellation, which can silence those around you while listening to music. They also come with multipoint connectivity, giving the buds the ability to automatically switch between your last two connected Bluetooth devices – from laptops and TVs to Android and iOS phones. Google says spatial audio support will be introduced later this year, which should make watching a movie or show on compatible Pixel phones feel even more immersive.

Other notable features include IPX4 water resistance and the ability to issue hands-free voice commands thanks to Google Assistant support. Plus, the Pixel Buds Pro come with interchangeable ear tips for a more customized – and therefore more comfortable – fit. Google also claims that the Pixel Buds Pro charge wirelessly and offer up to 11 hours of listening time (or seven hours if you use the active noise-cancellation feature).
